Protect Your Peace!

As you continue to grow and evolve it’s important that you understand that everyone does not have your best interest at heart. You see people will tell you things based off what is best for them not necessarily what is best for you. And not to mention many people may not know what’s best for themselves let alone someone else. So when seeking guidance and clarity seek God not people.

Many people make the assumption that when someone shares something with you, you feel the need to have an opinion on the situation at hand but really you just want someone to listen to you. So I ask you, who are you sharing your life with? Who are you seeking wisdom from? Don’t allow the opinions of others to discourage what you know God has already spoken to you. You have to protect your peace. Everything is not for everybody. Most people are not whole enough to know how to genuinely be happy for someone else or to listen to you without judging you.

The text says: Who is wise and understanding among you? By his good conduct let him show his works in the meekness of wisdom. But if you have bitter jealously and self ambition in your hearts, do not boast and be false of the truth. That is not the wisdom that comes down from above, but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. For where jealously and self ambition exist there will be disorder and every vile practice. But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial, and sincere. (James 3:13-18)

The best thing you can do for you is to know what is best for you or else you will become a wander lust. You will go through life being everything everyone else wants you to be instead of living your true self.

Here are three tips to help you protect your peace:

1. Stop talking to people who never experienced what you experienced or do no understand where God is taking you.

2. The majority of people carry jealousy and self ambition in their heart but the few people who don’t keep them in your corner. They’re in your life for a reason.

3. You have to go by what people do not what they say. People will say they support you but can only support you until it does not benefit them any longer. The people who are really for you, you will know because you will have a peace about it. Anybody you feel like you have to second guess should be removed.
