Stop Complaining!

Most of us have heard the bible story of Moses rescuing the Israelites out of Egypt. If you haven’t here is a quick recap: The Israelites where in slavery by the Egyptians and God sent Moses to rescue them from slavery and Moses did. One of the interesting parts about this story was that even though the Israelites were rescued from Egypt and set free from slavery as soon as things got hard they started to complain.
And then I thought how many of us are complaining once God has delivered us or has removed us from our comfort zone? As soon as things get hard we want to start fussing and convincing ourselves we we’re better off living in dis-obedience.
Moses told the Israelites “Do not be afraid but be brave. God will fight for you and you wont have to do a thing.” Being a believer does not mean that troubles won’t come but it means that you cast you’re cares and worries on to God so you no longer have to carry the burden. It’s important as you journey through life that you carry a light load and not get tied down to depression, anxiety, drugs, and alcohol all things that we use to try to replace the love of God when all you need is the love God. God created you for a purpose and your purpose leaves no room for anyone or anything that doesn’t belong. It’s important that we have a consistent faith, you have to be able to trust God in the good times and even in the bad.
Here are three tips to help you trust God and not complain:
Look back over your life and see how far God has already brought you.
Don’t compare your life to others. Comparison is an open door to jealousy and discontentment.
God didn’t bring you this far to leave you. He is always with you.
