I hear the term the “glow up” more often than not these days, and I’m all for people wanting to improve themselves, and wanting to do better. The only thing is that eventually your light will go out. That is just how it goes all light naturally eventually burns out. But have you thought about an everlasting light to constantly shine everyday while you’re here on earth?

The actual meaning of glow is to give out steady radiance of light, to give out consistent light but you can’t give out steady natural radiance of light on your own without your light eventually going dim. We all will have times in our life when we will have our moment to shine but eventually the light will go dim. Have you ever seen people doing well and then see them years later, like man they fell off? To constantly shine and to give out steady light is giving your life to God and allowing him to be in control because he knows what’s best for you! And anyone who is a believer was called to be the light in the dark. Meaning you do not follow the world but follow Christ you were created to be in the world but not of the world so you are always going to stand out in a world full of billions of people, all you have to do is let your light shine!! The text says: In the same way let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly father (Matthew 5:16)

I’m referring to the type of glow that starts from the inside out, that Jesus glow! You see when you have your own relationship with God, know who you are, and where you’re going that is the formula for everlasting shine. You shine the brightest when you are in alignment with God's will for your life.

Here are three tips to help you keep shinning:

  1. You should have your own relationship with God. Everyone’s relationship will not look the same God meets us where we are.

  2. Be obedient to his will for your life.

  3. Your light is what differentiates you from everyone else in the world. So be true to you and never let anyone tell you you’re not good enough
