Seeking Revenge?

There is going to come a time as God continues to elevate you that the people who threw dirt on your name will actually be put in a position where they are now looking up to you. It’s almost like Drake’s song “I’ve been down so long that they look up to me, they look up to me"…HAHA! Okay back to the lesson at hand…

But it’s important that you understand that there is no need to seek revenge. True vengeance comes from God. The text says “Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: "It is mine to avenge; I will repay," says the Lord.” (Romans 12:19).

Many times we try to take things into our own hands and try to seek revenge. But the text is very clear stating “Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against anyone among your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the Lord.” (Leviticus 19: 18) You see, there is no need to be upset at the people who did wrong by you because everything they thought would kill you God turned it around for your good.

God see’s the people who are smiling in your face and talking behind your back, but guess what that is not your problem leave that up to God to handle. He has the ultimate vengeance. You do not want to miss out on your blessing because of your disobedience. Your job is to show love always.

Here are three tips to help you allow God to handle your vengeance:

  1. Become unbothered. Don’t get so caught up in what people think or say about you.

  2. People will talk if your doing bad or good. So let them talk! People have no control over your destiny and where God is taking you.

  3. Mediate on God’s word day and night.

Few Things:
