Keep It To Yourself

On the journey to self discovery it’s important that once you find the real you and God has revealed to you your vision and purpose that you have a solid strategy a “God” given strategy on how to execute it. Many times we can see the final destination but we just don’t know where to start.

Well I’m here to tell you that if you are unsure about the direction you need to go or how to start you should be spending time with God, and not other people. There is nothing wrong with seeking guidance but it’s just not the time for it just yet. You have to go to the one who gave you the vision and not the small minded people who don’t have a clue to what God has called you to do.

Sometimes you can start telling people and it’s just too early because now the vision get’s cloudy with other people’s thoughts and ideas and they are actually pushing you further away from what God has called you to do even though they may have the intention of just wanting to help. You have to protect your vision it’s like your baby just like how you protect your children. People will tell you ideas based on what they think is best for you not necessarily on what God has planned for you.

It’s just like Joseph. Those of you who aren’t familiar with the story of Joseph I encourage you to read it in the bible in Genesis 37. But I’ll give you quick recap. Joseph was the youngest of his bothers and was favored by his father. So his father gave him a coat of many colors to distinguish him for the rest of his brothers and then his bothers started to get jealous of Joseph. And one day they were in the field and Joseph said I had a dream that your sheaf rose will be bowing down to mine, and then he states I had another dream that the moon and the starts will be bowing down to me.

Well guess what Joseph's brothers did? They sold him off as a slave and told their father that he was killed. Keep in mind these were Joseph’s own family member’s siblings who were jealous and wanted him dead because Joseph told him the dreams too early and they tried to sabotage it. Everyone is not going to be ready to receive your dream and it’s okay all you need is you and God. If he brought you to it he will bring you through it.

Here are three tips to help you manifest your dream:

  1. Keep it to yourself. Don’t tell people too early. You don’t want your vision bogged down by the thoughts and opinions of other people.

  2. Seek God like never before. How are you seeking direction from other people but not the one who gave it to you?

  3. You have to put in the work. Once you have clear direction be obedient and do what you were told.
