Overcoming People Bondage

On the journey of elevation it’s important that you understand how to break away from people bondage. People bondage is when you are overly concerned with what people say and think about you to the point it dictates how you move. Most often it’s people who are the closest to us who are telling us to wait, don’t do it, I don’t like it, I think you should stay, wanting to keep you where they are and putting their own insecurities on to you because they never left their own comfort zone or they tried to follow their dreams and just gave up as soon as they came across their first obstacle.
It’s just like the story in the bible when Abraham sent his servant to go find a wife for his son Isaac. When the servant recognized Issac's to be wife Rebekah and asked her if she was ready to leave she said yes but it was Rebekah’s mother and brother who was insisting that Rebekah not leave and stay 10 more days but Abrahams servant replied “please do not delay me the Lord has made my mission successful, now send me back so I can return to my master.” (Genesis 24:56)
We have to get to a point where we are responding to people like Abrahams servant did. Do not delay me. I am on a mission! When God gives you a vision with a mission it’s important that you are obedient and go where he wants you to go and have faith and trust the process. People may not understand and will try to talk you out of it but it’s okay. It’s not for them to understand. Doing destiny is a walk with you and God alone.
Here are four tips to help you overcome people bondage:
You have to know who you are and know what your capable of doing. So when people tell you something that you’re not you know that that it’s a lie.
You need to develop your own relationship with God so you are able to recognize his voice and his presence. This way you will have a better understanding of where he’s taking you.
You should expect resistance and adversity. Everyone is not going to like you and want to support you. And that's okay their not suppose to like you when you living a life that is pleasing to God. They talked about Jesus and killed him.
Who cares what people think. There only humans.
