Overcoming Rejection

I can not begin to tell you how many times I thought I was being rejected but God just re-directing me in the direction he needed me to go. Things not working out in my life started to become my norm. I would force relationships, I would force job opportunities, and knocking on all the wrong doors. I was doing everything based off my own decisions and what I felt I wanted to do but never taking the time to consult with God on what he needed me to do in that season. It wasn’t until I gave my life to God when things started actually working in my favor and I was actually able to start enjoying my life instead of being angry or confused by it.

Battling with constant struggle in your life is a sign that you are moving in the wrong direction. Life is not meant to be a struggle but joyously abundant. So do not be discouraged when you get rejected by something that you thought you wanted or needed instead be thankful for having a heavenly father that is leading you and guiding you in the direction you need to go and protecting you from the things seen and unseen. If you’re feeling like you don’t fit in, or things are not going as planned give it to God. God brings healing to the rejected so you can go out and bring healing to the rejected.

As you look back over your life you will realize that those certain people, job, or relationships were never meant to be and he had something so much better in store. Trust Gods perfect timing and his opened and closed doors. What is meant for you is only for you. So rest in the fact that God is in control and has a plan for your life.

Here are three tips to help you overcome rejection:

  1. Know that God is in control. If that door was supposed to be opened it will be opened.

  2. We call it rejection but actually it’s God redirecting us into the right direction.

  3. Develop your own relationship with God, then you will be able to better trust him and understand his guidance for your life.
