Lord Where is My Benz!

I was intrigued by a conversation that I was having over the weekend about trusting God. The question was “Why Does God bless certain people and not other people?” Ex: Why does she drive a Benz and I don’t even have a car, “Lord where is my Benz?!”

And first I would like to say being blessed is a mindset. It’s being grateful for the things you do have and not concerned about the things you don’t. A blessing has nothing to do with materialistic things of this world. I would also like to say that God is not a genie. He doesn’t give us a car, a house, and material thing he gives us the ability to go out and get it our selves. He gives us the ability, the rain, dominion, and power to do even greater things than what Jesus did if you have faith as small as a mustard seed. The scripture says . "Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you." (Mathew 17:20)

You can’t compare your life to other people’s life because you don’t know what season people are in. You can be in a season of work and labor; another person can be in the season where they are reaping their harvest from their work in labor. When you start comparing and focusing on what other people have it takes the focus off God and what he’s calling you to do. They key is to not loose faith no matter what season you are in.

I will say that if you are going through a hard time right now and are questioning God and feel as though he’s not there I want to remind you that he is always there and he will never leave you nor forsake you. The scriptures say “Those that sow in tears shall reap in joy” (Psalms 126:5) God has a way of turning things that we thought were bad and making it for our good. I remember when I asked God why I went though certain things in my relationships, with my job, and many other situations but I went through those things because I would not have developed my own personal relationship with God or fully be able to trust God if those situations did not occur.

You wouldn’t come to God all together if you had it all together. Those test and trials are there to bring us closer to God. So don’t give up just yet there is something beautiful waiting on the other side of that test. The very thing that was hurting you will ultimately serve you in your purpose.

Here are three tips to help you when you feel as though God is not there:

  1. Mediate on the word of God day and night and understand the promises that he has for your life.

  2. Learn to speak things into existence and prophesize over your own life. Don’t under estimate the power that God has given you.

  3. Don’t loose your faith. You have to maintain the faith through the good and the bad
