Living a life that is pleasing to God is not going to be easy. God hasn’t called any of us to easy but he has called us for greatness. And so it’s important that you stay grounded in his word ready and prepared to fight the good fight. It will take sacrifice, discipline, and a change in mindset. But in the end it will be worth it.
Fighting the good fight is living a life in-tuned with the Holy Spirit and being led by the Holy Spirit daily instead of being led by your own fleshly desires.
It’s living a life that is pleasing to God and submitting your fleshly desire to the word of God. For example, your flesh wants to do other people wrong who did you wrong through seeking revenge. But because the word says to love your enemies and pray for them you will not retaliate with hate but with love. You are now living a life that is pleasing to God and not your flesh.
You will not enter the next level of elevation in your life if you do not get into alignment with the word of God and what he’s called you to do. And so It’s important that you understand the proper order that God put in place and are obedient to his will. God blesses obedience in ways you can never imagine. He has a way of taking everything that you thought you lost and giving it back to you 100 fold. But you must figure out a way to be able to honor God and reference God in everything that you do. The scriptures say "Blessed are those who fear the Lord and walk in his ways." (Psalm 128:1).
To Fear the Lord does not mean be afraid of him but to have respect, to be loyal, and committed. It’s developing the mindset of kingdom driven and not people driven.
Here are four tips to help you keep fighting the good fight
Ask your self am I honoring God or my flesh right now? You want to get to a place where you are honoring God in everything that you do.
Develop patience. Give things time. Do not be so quick to make decisions right away. Allow some time for you to receive a word from God.
There is no addiction or struggle that God can’t heal. Give it to God so he can heal you and then elevate you.
If you fall short of God’s expectation do not be discouraged that’s only a trick of the enemy. Just pick yourself back up in get back on track. God sees your heart.
