Comparison Game!

If you’re constantly comparing your life to someone else’s, you will always be playing catch up!
There comes a time where we have to do a self check within ourselves and ask…. Am I doing this because this is what everyone else is doing? Or is this what God has called me to do? And I’ve found that when you’re doing the will of God, the will he created specifically for you and you alone you will never be in competition or feel jealous when it’s not your season, because what’s for you is only for you. Did you know the entire universe is waiting for you to get in alignment with what God has for you? It’s just like the scripture says: “For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God.” (Romans 8:19) And once you get in alignment doors will begin to open for you. Being jealous of other people is a heart issue and can stem from a lack of purpose, because if you knew your purpose you wouldn’t be jealous of other people who are walking in their purpose. God promotes you based off your heart. Man looks at the outside and God looks at the heart. If you become bitter in the heart you can’t become better. So have peace in the fact that God has not forgotten about you. Here are some tips to help with the comparison game.
Pray and ask God to give you a pure heart. When your heat is pure your motives will be pure. God can’t promote you with a bitter heart.
Pray on your purpose. Ask God to lead and guide you down the path the he has already created for you. If you seem to get distracted pray and ask God for focus.
Have a vison. Once you have a vision develop a routine that allows you to work on your vision daily. Even if it’s just as simple as a phone call or a little research.
Become an expert on it. Find people who are already in your field and observe them. Buy a book.
Press into change, Allow the process to change you as you become the person who God has called you to be. Many times we pray and ask God for change, and then change comes and we are not willing to evolve. Everything around you is going to want you to stay the same. But you have to step out of your comfort zone and step in on faith. God’s got you. He didn’t bring you this far to leave you.
